Goodbye to Tom…

It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to Tom Noble(owner of WhoSkates), who recently passed away from colon cancer. Tom worked intimately with BSBP Foundation to design and build the Bay Skate & Bike Park. Our dream would not have become a reality without him. Tom was honest, direct, and real! You can’t ask for more… He will be missed deeply. A true skatepark advocate!!! Goodbye good buddy!

We'll miss you Tom!

Thanks to all Park Users & Supporters!!!

A BIG thank you goes to Scott Goldfarb and his crew. This Saturday, April 28th at the skatepark they were removing weeds, mulching all 6 beds, and cleaning the park signs. They had 23 people and finished before the heavy rain. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED OUT!

Lakewood Street Walk Skate Session…this Saturday.

This Saturday, July 23, 4-7pm, Detroit Rd. in Lakewood between Arthur and Marlowe, will be closed for the annual Street Walk. Vince Frantz from the Public Square group will be setting up skateboard ramps and rails on Detroit between Arthur and Mars in front of the Lakewood Public Library. That section of Detroit will be dedicated to skateboarding. Juli Strunk will be on the front steps of the library raffling off combination locks for bike racks and new skateboard racks. The Director of the library has agreed to installing skateboard racks for locking skateboards because skateboards are not allowed in the library! Street Walk is a lot of fun with live music, food, beverage, dancing, wall climbing, skateboarding, etc. Go to .LAKEWOODSTREETWALK.COM for more info.
