Village Bicycle Cooperative has a had a wonderful summer and appreciated all of the support from the community and would like to show their appreciation by hosting a “fixathon” on Saturday August 17th from 2-5pm in the parking lot at city hall. Bring your bike and members of the Village Bike Coop will fix it up. No major repairs, but general adjustments and maintenance.
Also, Rustbelt welding will have our new ART Rack completed and we are hoping that the city can have it installed by the 17th so we can showcase the collaboration between all of the parties involved (VBC,BSBP,Green Team, and the city).
More details coming soon…

Congratulations go to Scott Goldfarb, one of BSBP’s original crew, for earning his Eagle Scout. Scott’s Eagle Scout project involved BSBP improvements and clean-up. Way to go Scott! We’re VERY proud of you and your accomplishment. Well deserved!
Jen Kuh rocked the Howard Hanna Chili Cook-Off this Saturday by creating the winning chili out of 14 entries. In doing so BSBP earned $100 and helped raise money for our local hospitals to help children without healthcare pay for their medical treatment.
It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to Tom Noble(owner of WhoSkates), who recently passed away from colon cancer. Tom worked intimately with BSBP Foundation to design and build the Bay Skate & Bike Park. Our dream would not have become a reality without him. Tom was honest, direct, and real! You can’t ask for more… He will be missed deeply. A true skatepark advocate!!! Goodbye good buddy!
A BIG thank you goes to Scott Goldfarb and his crew. This Saturday, April 28th at the skatepark they were removing weeds, mulching all 6 beds, and cleaning the park signs. They had 23 people and finished before the heavy rain. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED OUT!
