At Monday night’s City Council Meeting the proposed Rose Hill South location was referred to the Planning Commission for review. This is another step in the right direction and now positions us to gather a more formal park design. Surely there are many more steps ahead but we continued to be fueled by the passion and commitment of supporters. Thank you to everyone who attended and continued to show their support for the park.

The skatepark project is on the City Council agenda for March 8th.  Come be part of the solution…7:30pm at City Hall.  Let your voice be heard!

Please come show your support for the bike & skate park project at the next city council meeting.  The meeting is Monday, Feb. 22nd at 7:30pm at Bay Village City Hall. The mayor’s proposed location next to the Rose Hill sledding area is on the agenda. It’s time for action…join us in the arena.

Tonight’s Recreation and Parks Improvement Committee meeting was a lively gathering during which the park gained considerable support but not located within the proposed Bradley Park location. Mayor Sutherland attended the meeting and suggested that the location move back to the area near the sledding hill in Cahoon Park.  This will hopefully be a big development in getting the park project in motion. Stay tuned!

On Thursday night (2/11/2010) the Recreation and Parks Improvement Committee will be holding a 7:00pm meeting at the Dwyer Memorial Senior Center in Bay Village to discuss using Bradley Park as a possible location for the proposed Skate & Bike Park. We are looking forward to sharing information and hearing from the community as a whole.

BSBP would like to extend our support to the friends and family of Randy Stang. His passing is a loss for our community. The Public Square Group posted a nice article about what transpired at last Wednesday’s Recreation Committee Meeting. Randy will be missed.
